Do you mean what record they set this year?

If that's the case, then I'd say it's that they're the first team in MLB history to finish 10 games under .500 in April for three consecutive seasons.

First of all, living in Kansas City, I would have to agree that we care more about the Chiefs. But that does not change the fact that we still like the Royals. The thing is, it is not the management, but the ownership which keeps this franchise down. Let me put it this way, if the owner, David Glass, were willing to spend money on the team, the KC starting outfield would be Jermaine Dye, a WS MVP, Carlos Beltran, an NL MVP Candidate, and Johnny Damon. Instead, nothing against them, the starting outfield is something like Emil Brown, David DeJesus, and Mark Teahan, who should still be playing 3rd.
That being said, the Royals will make progress and continue to be that team is fun to watch because its always exciting. Thier bullpen will blow many leads, but they will get better when Dotel comes back from the DL. The Royals will end the year with a record of 69-93.

Try 69-97. Don't you just feel sorry for that franchise. Every year it is the same thing. I think the management there needs to sell the team or move the team because I think Kansas City fans care more about the Chiefs than the Royals. They do have a nice ballpark though.

68-94. Before the season started, I thought they would be improved significantly from last year. But it is a tough division they play in and some of the same things that haunted them last year (pitching) were haunting them the first month of the season. I still believe they can win 70 games this year. If they don't trade many starters at the trade deadline.

65-97. I said before the season started that they would be 75-87, but I've had to revise that after they went and played like they normally do in April and May.

GO ROYALS!!!!!!
