just to explain, I'm not in need of motivation myself..I'm ok:) I am just curious about other people's reasons and always could use additional wisdom from people smarter and merryer than me.

Just find the truth in God, through Jesus. I will never let anything else motivate me except that. Besides, when you have come into salvation you get set up for blessing that keep coming. For example: I just won a free contest (no gambling) out of 100,000 plus people for an initial prize of a lease on a vehicle. Aside from that story, to help others after completing the first task of getting right with God. The rest will fall into place for you I believe that. It is up to you though, we are all given choice. I had a choice to be a statistic/failure but I did not go that rout instead I looked to God. Remember it is easy to fail/do bad. So, try the opposite of that organize, clean-up, give, speak positive, this is for yourself first. But, seek the truth it is a hidden thing you compare over and over until your soul says that's it! Good Journey and be Blessed...

I know this probably won't mean much comeing from someone and young as me (18) but I don't think it would hurt any to give my little bit of wisdome....
Everyday gets harder when you are alone, myself I have had to watch both my parents die, and my grandparents and withouth any siblings there isn't much for me. So the way I keep going is I look forward to the future. I have dreams and ambitions that I am holding onto and maybe one day there will be somebody who comes along and I will be able to share those dreams and ambitions with them. Thats what motivates me to move on and maybe if you can find something that you really want for yourself that you could achieve in the futur you could find your own motivation.

Being alone when you really ARE alone is one thing, but being alone when you are living with and surrounded by other people is something else.
I have known BOTH of these kinds of lonliness.
The secret I found was to learn to live in my own mind, and replace the thought of "lonliness" with thoughts of "privacy" and "solitude". When I lived alone, I didn't have to worry about someone grumping at me if I put a dirty dish in the sink without remembering to rinse it first - it was MY dish and MY sink. If I wanted to stay downtown and enjoy a walk around the riverfront esplanade after work or after a movie, I didn't have to worry about someone at home fretting and fussing over my absence. I just DID it.
Reading and working on all sorts of artistic hobbies go a long way toward helping, too. A favorite way to spend an evening alone was to put on a CD of beautiful instrumental music and work on an arts-and-crafts project.
(During the times I have lived alone I rarely bothered to own a TV set, but for other people, watching TV seems to be a popular activity that does not require a second participant.)
Currently, I am not living alone, but sometimes I almost miss the total freedom I had when I was.

First of all know that you are a unique individual and you have a purpose in this life. Just because you are alone doesn't make you any less important than anyone else. When I was alone for several years, I motivated myself to accomplish things that were important and interesting to me. I have always believed in being and doing the best you can in whatever endeavor you take on. So I think going for it, living life and accomplishing your goals for yourself and to make you a better, stronger, wiser person is a great thing.

Something is always absolutely necessary, beginning with getting up to use the toilet. As long as I'm in there, I might as well shave and brush my teeth. Woah! I could use a shower. There...feels better. Whats in the news? I suppose I'll have to get a cup of coffee.
It goes on and on until I'm dying to get to work ontime. Always a lot of things to do there.

If material wealth and other people are the only thing that motivates you to keep on going then you obviously have very little value of yourself. You motivate yourself to go on.
