FOR WEB SEARCHING ? Thats a no brainer for me I use this one and it uses all of them at once pretty much...
More than 1000 search engines grouped into 120 categories
Add new available categories from the Copernic Web site

*Access Hidden Information
A huge part of the Web, called the "Invisible Web", is hidden to generic search engines. Scientific studies indicate that it is 10 times bigger than the visible Web. Copernic Agent Personal provides specialized search categories that delve more deeply into the Web. Imagine what you are missing!
I use this MOTHER of all search engines exclusively.. Trust me, It gets fast & very accurate results....Cheers
And it was not me that hinted that it might be found for free somplace on the net...... I cant even spell P2P sites ~CHEERS~

You can get a free toolbar for your browser, named "dogpile", that simultaneously queries ALL major search engines (the ones you mentioned, ASK, and so on...) ...www.dogpile.com

The others I've heard of are ASK and altavista

altavista was of course the "golden oldie" and is still goin' strong.
