When Youailis makes a good play the fans are saying YOUK, not you, people have always talked about the fact that he always must feel like he is being booed because sometimes it sounds like a boo but trust me the fans are saying YOUK

It's "Yoooooooooouk" but when you say it very low like we (Red Sox fans) do, you really can't hear the K. We did the same thing when Lou Merloni was on our team. Only that time, we said "Loooooooou."
If you don't believe me, here's more proof:
"While it may sound like he is being booed when Youkilis takes the plate, or has a big hit at Fenway Park, Boston fans are actually cheering "Youk..." in a low, long voice, as they did with Lou Merloni." -from Wikipedia

After reading the answers, I am just writing to support you in the feud with your boyfriend. The fans are saying YOUK. It is just hard to hear the K carry, but fans are sayong "YOUK." Anyway, hope one more answer helps. I know this is not new info.
