I know Cichlids grow pretty big but I know I can keep at least one or two in a 10 gallon. What are your takes on this? What Cichlids could I keep?

There are quite a few species of Apistogrammas and also many shell dwelling african cichlids that will do well in a 10 gallon in a small group or 2-5 depending on the species. Since there are so many, try a google search for those to groups and see what looks cool to you and then find a good book on that type of fish. Also post questions back here for more info on the group you select or specific species within the groups.

Some of the African cichlids stay smaller then the South American ones. Go to your local pet store and check out the different types.

You could put one convict or firemouth in a 10 gallon tank but nothing else could go in with them so some other suggestions may be better if you want more than one fish.I have one convict and he is really cute.I think some of the shell dwelling cichlids might be alright to but I don't know enough about them to recommend them.

you could have a species tank with shellies, or Neolamprologus Multifasciatus. most other africans need much larger tanks.

german blue rams could just about squeeze in a 10 gallon. but i would try only a single male really, they can do best in trios (male and 2 females), but that would be too many for a 10 gallon.

it depends on what kind of cichlids..victoria cichlids, malawi, tanganyika etc.
i prefer convicts..they are easy to breed but then again it is not as pretty as malawi cichlids..some zebra cichlids would do!

Yes be careful on how many you put in the tank. The rule of thumb is 1" of fish per gallon of water. Any cichlids would be ok, but I cant remember the name of them, but they sorta glow and are bright colors like yellow orange blue ect and they dont get as big as the others like Jack Dempseys ect. If you get the smaller ones Id say you could put 3 maybe 4.

you can have like up to 6 in a ten gallon tank. they wont grow as fast. there are a bunch of different kinds of cichlids. i would say get 2 different colors and 2 of each. like 2 blue and 2 yellow would be cool.
make sure you have a cool tank set up so they can have lots to do and much places to hide. put some plants and stuff in there.
