You're wise to try to be friends first.
Answer number one is good - clean and not drunk.
But try saying "hi. I'm ____ It's nice to meet you."
Then you can say nice things like - I like your dress/tie, eyes, smile etc.
Ask questions - what's your favorite sport, art, music, hobby?
Keep asking more quesitons.
You have 2 eyes, 2 ears and 1 mouth. That means you should listen and observe twice as much as you talk.
Exchange phone numbers and emails. At least give her/him yours - HINT: Have an event (like going to the mall, movies, game, dance, picnic, church youthgroup, etc. planned in advance so you have an excuse to call/txt him/her.

Ask lots of questions, what music they like, movies, books, places, hobbies, best holiday destination Etc Etc, then when you find a subject you both like the conversation should flow !.

Ask the lady to pull your finger, Fart and then discuss smells and manners. Should go down a treat! Also could be termed as a bit of foreplay *LOL*
