on harvest moon ds can you go to town because when ever i try it says go back to work even when i ride my horse i think the elf that says go back to work is called Jackie the place where he says it is by the farm over the bridge vestas i think can you go to town or is it just a random extra?

In order to go to town you have to insert a copy of Harvest Moon - Friends of Mineral Town or More Friends of Mineral Town into your Nintendo DS and that will unlock the road. have fun.

oh, all the way to the right? that's actually to emulate the town from the gamecube version. it's only a useless extra in HM:DS, but in gamecube, going on that path brings you to connect with the GBA game FoMT
the gray sprite's name is Jackie, and the following information is available - "On the east side of the valley is a path that exits the area. If you try and escape the valley you will discover Jackie. He will never let you leave Forget-Me-Not."
if you have "harvest moon: more friends of mineral town" or "harvest moon: friends of mineral town" in the dual slot, the five extra bachelorettes actually COME from that place that you cannot cross, as the first answer already correctly stated

You can NEVER go to town, as you always have work to do...
By the way, he is a sprite, not an elf. It is just a random extra. It's meant to be mineral town over there, and that is where the charachters from there come from (like Karen and Popuri).
