This is very funny. What's even funnier is reading the answers from the total morons who don't realize that it's a joke. Why don't people have a sense of humor anymore?

Absolutely a great question! On sites like this you get a lot of ranting from political cultists from the right and left as though there was a dimes difference. Few things in society are clear cut. This is a moderate country which is why very little changes regardless of what party is in power and social mores and standards got there over a period of time through the desire of the people. Politicians know that radical change means offending people and they survive by being all things to all people and nothing to anyone. Both major parties create images for people to follow and they are not true but people jump right in. Republicans are flag wavers, family values and Christianity, Dems are social justice flag wavers, sophisticated, smarts, blah blah. People buy into those images but in fact we are almost all moderates who understand that gun control, abortion, taxes, marriage and education are complicated issues. None of those issues have changed much regardless of who is in power. They know the score. The radical left and right X each other out at the ballot box and we are left to vote in who we think will do the least damage to life in the United States. The media highlights the exception, not the boring ordinary so we hear from the lunatic left and right and the freaks who make stupid statements that they know will get their faces on TV (Al Sharpton, Pat Robertson, etc). The guy in the seat next to you at the baseball game is most likely just like you with the same goals and concerns as you. Ignore the media, ignore the radical left and right and you will find America the moderate country and pretty good people.

Because they tend to be more inflammatory. People tend to get offended by them and may be more inclined to answer the question posed. Answers to these kinds of questions are usually all over the map.

There really isn't enough room on here to write a book and who actually reads most long answers anyway. Some are very interesting and informative if you take the time to verify.

They do ? Well then dammit I'm gonna have to have a talk with everyone, about everything, all of the time !!

They Can Take Our Lives. . . .. . But They Can't Take Our Freedom !! ( Scottish men bending over showing their arses to Longshanks and his men)

EDIT* - Does someone wanna give the guy above me a little nudge and tell him he's missing something ? Good Grief !

You have to put thought into specific issues. It's just so much easier to broadbrush. Do you realize how long it would take to get to LEVEL 3 WITHOUT broad, inflammatory generalizations? ;-) Just kidding but it's human nature to sweep rather than to detail.

Damn right! They are all the same and none of them care. We should hold a protest. My placard says
"SAY NO TO POINTLESS PLACARDS"

Late edit:

I would never have answered this question if I had known I would be underneath the child molestation statistician. I always get the worst seat in the house.

Wow I am stomped on this one. NO idea just wish I could give the questioner a thumbs up for an excellent example. Best part no links needed on the example.

You see it here all the time. How many questions start with, "Why do all dems...?" or "How come all cons....?" Too many people don't think about everone individually. You get your same question across without generalizing.

Everyone I know is fed up with generalizations! All the democrats and all of the republicans do it all the time!

Its way EASIER to reject everything that the other side has to say than to disprove each item seperately.

Laziness.
