Depends on the contents of the file. A text file can be compressed quite a bit, but an image or executable can not.

Depends of the type of the file. For example a *.jpg image file already uses photo compression technology so the change in size isn't big, same goes for *.mp3 audio files and video files like DivX, Rm, or wmv.
However, the size of text files, uncompressed video files and Images of games may drop dramatically when zipped.

If only we have x-ray vision, unless we know what the zip file is, no one can tell , whats for sure is the minimum size will be 5.95GB or more.

It does vary, but I'd use WinRAR to compress it. WinRAR is by far the more superior compression tool.

I once compressed a folder of 8gb with it & it compressed to 600mb! Impressive, but it DOES depend on the file types.

It varies!
If it's a text file, then you will save about 45%.
If it's video/photos etc, then not much.
If it's all mixed...well, you ge the idea.
Good luck!
