good or fine.
Don't-chya hate it when your passing by someone and they say "hi how are you" I say "I'm doing good how are you" then they don't say anything back. Happens to me all the time, bugs me.
Wow, congrats on the popular question!

My English teacher always yelled at me for saying good. He said "Good, is helping little old ladies across the street. We say I'm doing well, thank you for asking."
I know it sounds odd but not I say doing "Well" because it's proper

I usually tend to say"Im here, and not much more". Gets some odd looks, but usually said person goes away and doesnt bother me the rest of the day.

I either say that I'm peachy, or if I know that the asker is a persnickety grammarian, I bow to their need for an adverb, rather than an adjective, and tell them I'm doing goodly -- gives 'em a hissy fit.

Honestly I think both will work since they basically mean the same thing. However, I say good also because it does sound more natural to say.

I say good, and you? But I did hear a cute one...they guy answered "Lousy as usual, but it's OK, I'm getting used to it"... of course then he smiled real big...different but checks to see if anyone is really listening to what you say.

like if someone says, "how are you doing?" i say im doing well... most of the time. unless its a really good acquaintance. then formality and properness goes out the window, and im doin good

I say both, just depends on my mood. "Well" sounds a bit odd to say, but that's half of the reason why I say it sometimes.
