The other one i got off my mate,and he was connected with blueyonder dial up,but i cannot seem to get the wireless connection on this laptop any ideas?Their is no icon which says in network places wireless anything.What should i do?

You will need a wireless adapter card if none is shown in the network connections page. I started to say maybe it was just turned off but if there is NO ADAPTER it can't be turned off.

Not all laptops come with WIFI built in.

If it's an older laptop, it probably doesn't have a wireless card in it. That is likely why no icon is showing up. You can buy a wireless card at Wal-Mart or an electronics place. From there, you should be good to go.

It sounds as if you've got an old laptop that doesnt have a wireless LAN card built in. You will need to get a Wifi PCMCIA card for the old laptop.

see if there is a built in wireless card that you need to enable. if not, get a usb wireless adapter or a pcmcia adapter
