.instead of fueling speculation and distrust?
Sooner or later, the truth is going to come out anyway?

May 17,2007
WASHINGTON - Three U.S. soldiers slaughtered in a grisly kidnapping-murder plot south of Baghdad last June had been left alone for up to 36 hours in a poorly planned mission, a military investigation concluded. Two officers have been relieved of their commands.

..and then of course, there was the Tillman coverup...

(The US admitted that one of our fighter jets had bombed one of our own tanks, This 'friendly fire' happened as US troops were riding in a tank near a bridge entering Baghdad just hours before the invasion.
17 US troops were killed. It was admitted and we never neard anything further about it.)

For goodness sake!
Telling the truth about Tillman wasn't some "grandiose secret!" He was killed by his OWN. It came out anyway! They finally told the truth!
The entire lie was unnecessary. Makes us look like fools.
As for the three soldiers, it is worse knowing NOW than when it happened! For all we know more events similar to this cover-up could also have happened!
And they are likely to come out just like this one.
These aren't "military secrets" The enemy isn't sitting under some bridge over the Euphrates waiting to hear how some US soldier died!
I am talking about our government LYING to us, the United States.!
Its all a matter of telling the TRUTH.
Some of you just
DON"T
GET
IT !!
You misread everything.

No one said anything about 'advertising troop movements'. But being honest about the casualties and failures of political strategies are the right of every American to know.

I am glad to see that bush lost his battle to prevent states from lowering the flag when one of their own is killed.

What a nasty, evil thing to fight for. The man is garbage.

Because it's poor strategy to advertise troop movements during times of conflict. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a complete buffon.

Besides, we all knew within a few weeks that Pat Tillman was killed by "Friendly Fire".
