I think there should be a reasonable curfew for children under the age of 18. There is a lot of teenage drinking and drug use now a days and because parents can't keep an eye on their children 24/7, it would help protect the children from doing things they would normal have the freedom to do as well as keeping them safe. Think of a curfew as a deterrent not a punishment.

No, there should not be a curfew for young adults and teenagers.
Curfews drastically increase the amount of crime, since teenagers out past curfew automatically become criminals under that law. In my opinion, the image of the police suffers since law enforcement of bad laws make them look like the bad guys.

Not young adults but under 18, yes. I grew up with a curfew and it didn't hurt me at all. Did I like it? No, but it cut down on crime. Think about it, fewer parties, drunk drivers, harder to get drugs etc. I think it should be imposed by the individual town or city depending on the problems they have.

If there is a high level of teen on teen crime, a curfew can be a good thing. A teen curfew will not necessarily reduce the number of crimes commited by teens. It will, however, reduce the number of teens who are victims of crime.

here in Maine every town I've lived in has had a curfew. This state has one of the lowest crime rates around. Not bad considering we have the highest per capita gun ownership.

Yes, but only by their parents. If you're talking about nationwide laws.......... no way. Not only would it be government intrusion into the household, but it would also do absolutely nothing to curb crime. Crime has always been around and always will, you cannot prevent it, you can only show up after its happened and deal with it appropriately

No, not at all! Kids should be able to go out and stay out as long as they want. Crime is done by criminals, not kids. You don't have to be a kid to be a criminal.
