Somewhere just short of 500 - by my count, I had 282 in the NL and 206 in the AL. It's not surprising that the NL has more, given their longer history during an era when there were plenty of 20-game winners.

My only caveat is that I had difficulty separating those who won 20 in both leagues, and I had to rely on my counting skills. It's pretty overwhelming - here's a sample page of what I found, and I can attach more if you need them.

Too many to mention.

It's relatively rare these days, but that's since the advent of the 5-man rotation about 30 years ago. The more starts that a pitcher makes, the more chances he has for a win. And it used to be, way back in the early days of baseball, that a team had 2 starting pitchers, so winning 30 or more wasn't unusual. The page below should give you a better appreciation for the effects of those changes.

Approx 8500 players have won 20 games, but only 21 have won 300 games or more in their career.
