He's been a republican for a while but now all the sudden republican pundits are saying he should not be allowed in the party.

The Dems have their own anti-war anti-establishment guy of their own that Hillary has to worry about:

Oh, so now he's a democrat? A leftists? A libertarian? Just an OB-GYN?
The guy was a soldier unlike any of the other candidates. He's against all the insanity going on.

Not to mention he's Protestant. Look at all the other candidates religions as well. There is a definite pattern. Just stop and look. You'll see it. I for one absolutely and fully agree with his platform. However i am just one flesh and blood "individual".
He's the shot of truth this country needs. If you were smart(probably not), but if you were. He would be the next president of the United States.

Come on folks. Ron Paul is NOT getting support from Americans. His poll numbers are usually less than 1%. He was a Republican, then a Libertarian, and now a Democrat. He's a Democrat of convenience. His beliefs are that of a Libertarian. Paul is an OB-GYN. Maybe the question should be would you let this man deliver your baby, and not worry about if he has any support in his presidential race.

Strange isn't it?? During the debate Ron basically laid out the fact that our foreign policy decisions have hurt this country for too many decades.
Rudy took advantage of his position and misconstrued it to equate Ron Paul with 9/11 conspiracy nuts. Of course Rudy didn't bother to listen any more than any other American has to the fact, that we need to take a long look in the mirror to see who has really hurt us the most.
For some reason, Americans act like children who take no responsibility for their behavior on the world stage.
I'm a liberal Democrat and probably won't vote for any of the Republican candidates, but I respect a guy like Ron Paul who has the guts to tell Republicans the "real" truth about the world...one that has been concealed from Republicans for a long time.
Reality...get some...

He is an oddity. After the last debate his poll numbers surprised everyone. No body likes surprises in a Presidential race. We'll see how he handles it. It may depend on how he registered as a candidate and were there loopholes there. Fred Thomson and Al Gore are still not out of the picture. This may go down as the most controversial race in history. Get ready for the ride.

Ron Paul isn't getting any more support than athletes whose fans hold up signs at the stadium saying, "(athlete's name) for President." He's a joke.
What Republicans should be deathly afraid of is the support of the entire Democratic Party, and for Hillary and Obama in particular.

Ron Paul was a libertarian for years, and he still is one. His ideas about limited govt, and non-interventionist policies are now not part of the Republican party platform. The Republican Congress has disgraced their party by betraying their standards with deficit spending, huge increase in the size of govt, and the invasion of Iraq!
Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, and Tom Tancredo are the only pres. candidates that I trust to protect us from our enemies, and the illegal alien invaders.

He represents views that are no longer allowed to be voiced in the party.
Pat Buchanan has also been marginalized by the neocons, which is why you never see him on Fox News with Brit Hume, Fred Barnes, or Bill Kristol. Pat's views are way too conservative for them.
Bill Buckley (the father of modern Conservatism in this county) has also been pretty much marginalized and no longer appears on any of the political shows or Fox.

Paul's become a Libertarian. If he's no longer a Republican, why should he stay in the party, or expect support from other Republicans. I seriously doubt that any Republicans are afraid of him. Unlike Democrats, we don't fear people with whom we don't agree.

I have seen very, very little support for Ron Paul. Some people have visions of grandeur about the man but he won't win and they need to wake up to that realization before they are totally crushed by it.
