Most folks define love as an emotion or feeling - based on what they've been taught by Hollywood and popular music.
I prefer to define love as the conscious, volitional, willful commitment to seek the highest and best of another person ahead of your own benefit, and even at the sacrifice of your own benefit.
That defintion better embraces the love of parent for child, child for parent, between platonic friends, as well as romantic love between husband and wife, lovers, etc.
Best to you.

Today,
Love means: Having alot of money, owning a real nice vehicle, having the best job in the world, bein' good lookin', Having a real nice two or three story house, in a good location......
Pretty sad, huh?
Real love used to mean something, don't even know if it still exists.

only you can know what it means to you. Love is like when you have have a strong feeling for someone... above what you feel for normal ppl. there are different kinds of love... and you never love 2 ppl the same way. You love your mom, your bro, sis, cousins, aunts, kids, friends and spouse/partner. But there are different extents... you woul probably die for your kids but not for a friend... it depends how you feel.

love is a unconditional term, meaning you love unconditionally. there are no limits or restrictions in this area.
"we are without any limit to our thoughts and feelings in life and can create any reality we choose to focus our attention upon." it is a feeling of letting go. this allows us freedom to make choices in our lives. When you love someone there are no constraints. you have a feeling of oneness with the partner you choose. love is many things to many people. to love your children, spouse, friend, etc. unconditionally is likened to "do unto others as you would have them do to you".

Love doesn't have a true meaning. It's just a "give away," doesn't need a return back.
