Do you live in an area that is either liberal or conservative? Which are you, comparatively? I ask, because I live in an extremely liberal region, and am a conservative. However, when I talk to people who live in regions that are conservative, they call me a liberal (which would make my neighbors laugh). SO, are you liberal or conservative, for where you live? How does this forum view you politically?

um, I suggested nothing with this question, it is just a question, one that I explained why I was asking..one that some of you are choosing to not answer, for whatever reason...

I live in NC, an extremely conservative state, but live in Charlotte, which is more liberal. It does not really affect me one way or the other though. Apparently, a lot of people can't tell the difference between region and religion.

Unfortunately there are morons and idiots in all regions of the world.
I have lived all over the world and nothing shocks me more than to hear people talk about how liberal people are in the northeast US. The most racist people I have met were in the Boston region. To your face they were nice, but behind the back the venom was horrible. At least in the southern part of the US they are up front about it.
Politics in the US is going through some changes right now. While Michigan and Illinois are seeing people leaving the area for better jobs, the south is becomming larger with many of those "liberal" people moving in. The shift will be more visable come the major elections.

I live in a state that votes mostly Democrat but my area of the state is definitely Republican. I vote for the person, not the party but I am considered a liberal if I don't vote republican. Which is not true. I am pro gun, pro life and pro capital punishment and Christian. On the other hand I am for helping the deserving poor, the elderly and against giving tax breaks to the rich and big corporations, and against doing away with Social Security. I don't consider any of these ideas either conservative or liberal but just using my mind. Will I ever find a candidate that agrees with everything I would like to see? No, never happen because they seem to vote party lines. Face it, we don't have republicans and democrats anymore, just radicals.

I am classified liberal here, I live in the bible belt in the south so they are mostly right wing conservative. But I have a belief that isn't so liberal, and that's pro death penalty. I have a hard time being labeled liberal because I'm not a person that thinks a certain way about an issue because my party does. That way of thinking makes people ignorant and unable to form their own opinions. But I guess in the end the right wing conservatives don't seem to like much of what I say so I guess that makes me liberal.

I am a conservative. Red state, although I point out that the liberal networks picked the colors.
A few yellow dogs around (A yellow dog is a democrat who would vote for the democrat candidate even if that candidate was a yellow dog.)
I want small government and freedom and a strong national defense. I want politicians to live within moral bounds, but not pass laws about morals.
If you agree with those principles then you are a conservative.

The region you live in definitely determines how you look at the world politically. What is considered liberal in some places may be conservative in other places. I am seen as more of a moderate where I am at.

I guess it's the other way around, too. Your politics affects your region. In other words, people move to areas that are politically more to their liking as well as where you grow up affecting your politics. There is a whole political spectrum and only simple minded people want to bucketize every person into either or a "conservative" or "liberal" mold. Stop trying to categorize yourself and ignore those who categorize you. That's my advice.

I'd say this forum views me as liberal with spastic conservativeness. I don't think region is the end all be all but it definitely has an effect.. just as an example.. there are many registered democrats in my state.. but you take them to some place up north and they would be called republicans because most of them are pro-life and pro-gun. (It's the South, what do you expect)

I am relatively liberal I suppose, I live in a blue state in a city with a major liberal college.
Don't really care how people in this forum view me for the most part. I tend to pick liberal because for some reason you have to pick a side on here.

I live in the deep south and don't go to church. I believe in a higher power.
Religion has no effect on my political views and I am conservative.
