If you have access to a wild plant called "Milkweed" you break off a leaf from the plant and put the white sap on the wart every day till it goes away.

Hi Kitty, Yes "seenoevil" - correctly has said that wart can be difficult to kill. Yes, warts are a skin infection caused by viruses from the Human papillomavirus (HPV) family. They disappear on their own without much hassle. But you can fight with warts with home remedies.
You can use enough garlic to cover the wart. Cover it with a bandage and keep it overnight. After having your bath remove the bandage, a small blister would appear, let it be absorbed by your body again. By continuing this procedure your warts may leave your body within two weeks.
Dip apple cider vinegar similar to garlic (as mentioned above) cover it with a bandage. If you continue this for week you may surely see the results.
Apply clear nail polish every morning and evening.
Use vitamin A oil from fish oil or fish-liver-oil by applying it on the wart. Apply this once a day, it takes lot of time but the results would be positive.
Make a paste by crushing vitamin C tablets with water. Apply this on the wart and cover it with a bandage.

yes - duct tape - I have been using it for the last year on a plantar's wart on my foot but when I stopped using it the wart came back. It has to be "Guarilla Tape," very strong tape, waterproof. Remove piece before shower each morning, dry hand after shower, put new piece on. Basically the wart virus will begin to "attack" itself and that's how it begins to go away. But you have to be digagent about putting the tape on. It may take up to a year for it to go away completely. But it's a cheap way to go!

Warts are viruses and as such can be difficult to kill .
My daughter had some warts on toes and we tried everything.
We did the duck tape, we did the compound W which is an acid, we did tee tree oil, and we did the nitrogen which really burns after wards.
if you can't kill it at the root, it just comes back.
eventually they healed on their own

Get some of the over-the-counter liquid nitrogen (I forget the brand name). It freezes warts and it really works. You might have to do it a couple of times, though.

I have tried the over the counter products with no success. I have also gone to a dermatologist which was expensive and extremely painful. I tried the duct tape remedy and was surprised to find that it actually worked. I am prone to these nasty little things and I am sure to find another one on my finger sooner or later; but I will grab the duct tape for a painless and very economical way to fight them. Good luck.
