a lot of people in this category complain about it...

Do you really CARE if your answers or questions get deleted?

Yes, I do care. However, if I really submit something that is crude or racist then they should have the right. But do it to all , not just the liberal point of view and not just the conservative.

Yes.

I post answers because I want them available for people to read, not to have them removed.

I (usually) abide by the Guidelines, and have had only 3 out of 5,000+ answers removed. (Only one was a reasonable removal.)

Most of the complainers have no one to blame but themselves, as they refuse to abide by the perfectly reasonable Guidelines that they agreed to when they signed up.

For instance, I just answered a question by someone who had written an insulting "answer" that didn't answer the question (2 violations in one).

If people would familiarize themselves with the Guidelines, and either abide by them or go elsewhere, this site would have much less sludge, and much more interesting and helpful content.

Of course I do. Many questions in here are extreemly biased . Thoes do not need an answer as the questioners are usually venting. When I ask a question I would like an educated answer, thoughtfull and thought out. I want your opinion .So, Yes.

Two reasons I care:

1 - The effort to post is not worthless. When one spends time to think through an answer, it ought to stay up (if IAW the rules).

2 - If Y!A deletes one of *MY* answers, they have obviously made a HUUUGE mistake in judgment, and applied their rules indiscriminately. Out of kindness, I correct them so that they may improve their product.

Sure it matters. If you are here and taking the time to respond, it should matter.

I've begun challenging every violation that I receive.

Of course I care. why would I ask or respond if I'm not going to be heard?

Of course. Why bother asking or answering if you didn't.
