I have to say that when I see "Kaira," I want to pronounce it like "Care-a." Mainly because, my first thought when I see "ai" is "air," "fair," "Blaire." You see the a and i combination more in words with the "a" sound than the "eye" sound. Maybe if people misunderstanding the pronunciation is bothering you, you should spell it differently.

No, but my boss pronounces the word asphalt like "ash-falt" instead of "as-fault". He's an idiot, I get a nice internal laugh everytime he does that.

Cherrybomb: I used to say pasketti when I was a kid too!

EDIT: Ahahaha! I just heard my idiot boss say "lymph NOID" instead of "node", ahahaha!!!!

Yes. Not just myself either. I have problems with that many "S" sounds that close together. Also, instead of "facetious," I always end up saying "fashetious," or "facesis," haha.

This guy I work with does that all the time. He also says physical instead of fiscal. He is a redneck so I don't expect much.
