Because of their own insecurities. I wouldn't let if bother me. If you are comfortable in thongs, wear them.

I think the reason that people are a little skittish about it is that men are generally masculine and thongs are associated with women's underwear. I think if more men wear them and admit to it then it will become more accepted. It's about personal preferences and people need to learn to deal with other people's preferences. I personally don't care if guys wear undies at all. I often wonder why women wear thongs, it's just a comfort issue and about what you like.

Wear what you want, fine by me. Just understand, and don't be hurt if I don't make numerous glances your way and give you a double-take when I see your whale-tale.
Women in thongs and displaying a whale-tale is a nice visual meal. Seeing a male in a thong, showing a whale-tale, and a plumber's crack initiates the gag reflex.
HEY: I'm tied for the lead in "Thumbs Down". Must be a lot of guys secretly wear ladies thongs. Guess I have to pay closer attention these days.

From my past experince of sitting on beaches it seems to me only the most arrogant or delusional men wear thongs.
Also, like most women, I love looking at a mans ar$e, but I would prefer if a little was left to my imagination!!
How much fun would sex be if we all walked around naked?

I think a guy in a thong is hott! There is nothing wrong with it. Especially if the booty is looking good! You wear it and you wear it proud!

Thongs that you wear on your feet? Or thongs on your buttocks? As for the latter, it wreaks of the vainest of vain narcissism when a guy wears them. And when wearing them, I hope you do not pose in front of the mirror.
However, anything goes in the bedroom. So, if it floats your "tuna" boat,then wear them proudly.

'Cause it just ain't right!! All kidding aside, no one looks good in a thong. Every woman I know thinks thongs are NOT attractive on men. If you like them, wear them for yourself. Why would anybody have to know?

My GF got me some it feels like your not wearing anything at all, I love them now. I though that thay would ride up my butt but not at all.

well i don't see what the problem is if you want to it's just not very common for a straight to want to wear thongs! but obviously there are some straight guys out there that do wear them because they sell them in the stores!
