Before i started watching porn i use to be very normal and like any other normal teenager. After i got net connection and started watching porn everything has changed so much that i no longer know who or what i am. At the beginning the porn was suprisingly interesting and slowly it got boring and then i started checking other categories too, from usual straight hardcore to i went to anal, doublepentration, bdsm, bestility, shemale and gay. now suddenly i got so worried as i am now watching all these extreme content. Especially about the gay and related content, i am confused. How could this internet porn can artificially change me into gay, can it. i am so confused. please understand my situation and try to help! this is my last chance to know what has real gone wrong.

I don't buy it. I think this whole question is bogus from the first word and it is just someone trying to make a point and promote their ideology here on Yahoo Answers. I don't believe that any part of this question is real, not that some people don't seem to develop real problems with porn, but a fake and preachy stunt like this turns me off on their argument and has a reverse effect on me from what they probably wanted. Now I'm ready to tell my husband to go to the video store tonight and to make sure to get something really nasty from the back room. As a matter of fact I'm going to do just that.

I'm one of those people that doesn't mind porn and I actually enjoy it, but would not mind if I never saw it again. I can see where it can really become a problem, especially for men, because they often watch it alone as an escape.

Your situation isn't good. Here is proof that porn is addictive. The "regular" movies no longer did it for you so you had to start watching the freakier sh!t. And there is worse out there, so you need to get this under control now. Porn should be used to enhance sex, not to take the place of it.

I don't know what to suggest except to take a break from it all for awhile. Porn causes a lot of problems in so many people's lives. Good luck.

I can see how this has happened, and i can assure you not to worry about the gay thing you are most likely not. I would recommend you disconnect from the net for a while and seek counciling, meet up with mates from school and hang out with them, anything to get you out of the room and socializing. It's scary lol i wonder if when my son becomes a teenager would i be as understanding? I hope so but can't see it.
Anyway good luck with that.

I think you might be feeling empty inside and all this time you have been trying to fill the void inside of you. Were you loved as a child? or maybe molested? Sometimes we look for happiness in all the wrong places and I feel you have been searching for yourself all along. Maybe you should see a therapist to pinpoint the problem that has you seeking sex to resolve the issues. It's normal to have sexual urges but if you feel all this has been getting in your way of normal living than it can also become an obsession. Please seek help to find the core of this problem, I'm sure it goes deeper than just the sex thing.

Nothing can turn you gay, you either are or aren't.

But you're probably using the porn as an outlet, maybe you feel that you somehow escape yourself in what porn has to offer. Like if you're normally very uptight sexually, porn may offer you looser morals, where you can feel like you're not yourself, you can feel free from all the pressures put on you by the world to conform.

In other words, it's escapism.

Pornography can have a very negative effect on a person's ability to relate to other human's sexually, but it can't "turn" you gay. You probably just didn't know you had certain feelings before being exposed to things. Also, being aroused by two men on screen doesn't mean you're gay.
You don't have to act on anything that makes you uncomfortable.

I encourage everyone to get a good webfilter such as "K9 Web Protection." This is available at: http://www.k9webprotection.com/ Another good software to try is what is called accountability
software. This one will track questionable websites, and email them to a person, or persons, of
your choice. It is called x3Watch and is available at: http://www.xxxchurch.com/07/ and
http://x3watch.com/ These are ideas both for parents, and persons who are struggling with an
"addiction" to internet pornography.

i think you should get some confidential counseling. speak with your pastor or guidance counselor. someone that you're comfortable with and will keep what you say to them between you and them. you might also want to find hobbies or get out of the house to stay away from the computer. only use if for homework

Do yourself a favor, quit watching porn. If you can't control yourself you need to get counseling!
