for me it takes like 2 mins. Either something is wrong w/ yourr ipod or ur computer. My advise is to attempt to upgrade your Itunes to a newer one. Thats what happend to me. At first i couldnt add anything but then when i upgraded it worked.

If you have the upgraded version that say Ipod+ Itunes then make sure all the syncing is done from what you just put on the computer then heres a trick, take out the plug from the computer wait 5 seconds then plug it back in. It works like a charm.

You need to go to file and import in itunes then use the browser to find the folder on your desktop then select the songs you want and it'll take them straight in. (it seems to only let you do one at a time though but still doesn't take that long)
Once you have the songs in there, make sure its set up to sync and it'll only take minutes!! would agree with others as well tho make sure you've got the latest itunes etc.

Make sure that your i pod is on sync to receive the tunes and that it is fitted in the socket properly. the first time I did it I I got a lot of rock which I did not like at all so I changed it all and now I have reall good music on there. Good luck. You will soon get the hang of it.

It all depends on the size of your ipod and the processing speed of your computer..the bigger the ipod the longer it will take to fill it up and the slower the processor on your computer the longer it will take to get the task done..same rule of thumb applies to all computer functions my friend

Do you have iTunes? You can transfer the songs from there. Only takes a few minutes (depending on how many songs you are transferring).
