The previous answer is not quite right.
NO2- + e- +H2O -> NO + 2OH-
Cu -> Cu2+ + 2e-

2NO2- (aq) + Cu(s) +2 H2O --> Cu2+(aq) + 2NO(g) + 4OH- (aq)
