Well, I used to and then I heard all those stories about bug parts and stuff being in the glue cause they fall in and get chopped up at the plant. SO, I no longer lick my envelopes. I usually by the self-stick ones that you just peel off the paper and they seal right up.

no way...the taste is nasty....did u ever hear the one about the girl who licked an envelope and a week or so later her tongue swelled up...the dr cut it open and a live cockroach crawled out...supposedly she licked up a cockroach egg when she licked the envelope...ever since i heard that i use a wet washcloth for envelope...or i buy the ones with sticky stuff on them.

Yes I do and I hate it. It tastes so bad so I have to get someone I know to do the other envelopes.
