I ask this question because of the wacko liberal tag line: "No war for oil".

As a poster below correctly pointed out, to shut off the flow of oil would mean the world economy would crash. So libs....under what circumstances would preventing this be acceptable to you...or do you prefer living in complete anarchy?

Otto...you're obviously a mental midget that it would seem has no issue with the collape of the world economy so long as we observed pc protocols. I enjoy laughing at insignificant morons like you.

Absolutely. The fact is that it is delusional for anyone to think we could even supplant 25% of our energy needs with 'Green' sources at this time. This means that a takeover of Saudi Arabia, or for that matter, Iraq, will lead to a drastic surge in world oil prices. This will cause the world economy to stall and prompt a recession that will hurt many billions of people. America, being the only world power, would have to go to war to protect our economy....case closed.

I think the fact that 15 out of 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia was enough to goto war over.....

OBL regards Saudi Arabia to be holy ground. The unforgivable thing the U.S. did to him was in having our troops on Saudi soil in the '90 Iraq war. He is against any war on Saudi soil and has asked that Saudi Arabia be spared from terrorism because he wants the oil for the Muslim's in case he accomplishes what he wants with his jihad.

That would be kinda moot because this country would have went after Osama bin Laden because he murdered people in New York. You remember that, don't you? That was your president's war cry BEFORE GOING INTO IRAQ FOR NO REASON.

By the way, our oil supply is shut off due to our invasion into Iraq, our problems with Iran, and bush's problem with Chavez.

Now, how about telling bush to get bin Laden like HE WAS SUPPOSE TO IN THE FIRST PLACE...

It's Arabia's right to not sell oil, just as it is the right of the U.S. to not trade with Cuba or North Korea. We should only go to war if Arabia is used as a base for physical attack on us.

Gay person and Jacob W: just because our economy would be better off with plentiful oil doesn't give us the right to invade other countries. By your way of thinking, the Japanese invasion of China was justified, as was the German invasion of Poland.

The free flow of oil at fair market prices is essential for the economies of the world.

Yes.

I think Osama just taking over Saudi Arabia would be worth going to war over.

Osama bin laden is an ex-cia agent so if this happened I guess it would mean America had shu down the oil plants.

YES! The funny thing is though, the hippes saying no war for oil would turn around and support it so that they could get electricity to their houses againt to play their guitars. (Unless they had acoustics)

Think of it, society would be shut down. We couldn't function without oil.

The Saudis would probably go to war to take the country back.
