Ex: Sales for Jan. 07 were 50,529.00 and sales for Feb. 07 were 38923.75 how do I find out what percentage my sales decreased that month?

find the percent when the amount and base are known.

amount / base = percent

amount = 38923.75

Base = 50529

38923.75 / 50529 = 0.770324962

Multiply 0.770324962 by 100 and attach th % symbol.

0.770324962 x 100 = 77.0324963 %

77% rounded up.

The percent of decrease is 77%

Multiply 50529 times 0.770324962

50529 x 0.770324962 = 38923.75

38923.75 is 77% of 50529

Subtract the two figures and divide by the original number. The move the decimal place to places to the right and this will give you your percent of decrease.

If you keep using the breast pump then you will keep making milk. You can feed the baby the breast milk with the bottle and that will be fine- will get the nutrients and benefits of the breast milk and if they feed more and faster then they will proabably sleep longer (won't wake up hungry as often) It is really hard to get a baby overweight- that happens later when they start eating foods. Newborns need to eat whenever they are hungry- this is the time they are growing the fastest, need the sustinence to keep them healthy.
