Are some of the great American cars, such as the Buick, Oldsmobile, Pilot and Lincoln still seen on the open road in the USA? What great vehicles to tour around in! Would it now be possible to run these huge engines on biofuel?

Lots of old American cars still on the road here in Ca. Lots more 60s cars than 50s cars though. These cars can easily be found for sale in local classified listings, on ebay, and at specialized classic car dealerships. There are also some rental agencies that rent classic cars.

All of these vehicles have gasoline engines, not diesel. 100% ethanol is not sold in the US, and E85 is hard to find, so even if these old cars could run on ethanol (which they can't) you would probably not be able to find any.

Keep an eye out in the local paper for car shows in your area. You don't see them on the road as much as you used to, but they are there. I have a 1967 AMC I am restoring now, but they are still around. It's just not as often because people spend a lot of time restoring these cars and don't like to take the chance on them getting damaged.

yes a lot of the older ones are still on the road as restorations, and they run on the newer fuels ,not as good because all of those engine needed a lot of octane, but they can be modified to be made run good on the new fuels ,but yes once in a while you see a few of them going to or from an old car show, its still a good site to see, when you see 10-12 of them in a row going down the highway ,people here will always like there old cars its a part of our history that wont ever die out, good luck.

I live in southern Spain and there is a monthly rally of USA gas guzzelers down here. They cruise from Puerto Campomanes to Xabia and call at all "poser ports" in between. plus a call at the fuel depot en route.

Yes and come to Las Vegas or Phoenix and you can see from 20 to 100 per day. Dry not rust so people do drive them often.

Marvelous sites.
