A song that started out like a reporter talking to someone and he would ask them questions and the answer would be lines from different songs. The questions were about politics and I think about Watergate in particular. I'm sure the song was out in the early 1970's. I would like to know who did it and if I could get a copy of it. Thanks.

Energy Crisis 74 by Dickie Goodman, and he did lots of songs like that. Look it up on amazon.com and he has a cd there. He did one called Watergate, and there was one about Gerald Ford and The Touchables, Flying Saucer parts 1 & 2, and again in 1979 an updated Energy Crisis"79. He was all about novelty songs, and sometimes his partner Bill Buchanan was on the records. Alot of them went under artist title of...Goodman & Buchanan. Good Luck with your search, hope it helped.

Dickie Goodman did a lot fo songs in that style. The one I remember is "Energy Crisis."
