What does your church say? All churches are different.

according to the catholic church you have until age 7 after that the child in the eyes of the church must decide to be baptised. I had my children all baptised at different times my son was 4 months old, he was born in feburary and i wanted it to be in warmer more convient weather for family. My second child was baptised when she was three weeks old, she was born 9 days late in september so i had it all planned before she was born her birth date set me off alittle. my third was also born in september so i didn't want her baptism to interfer with my other daughters birthday then all the holidays so she was 5 months old when she was baptised. So do what is ever convient for you and your church.

It honestly depends on your pastor or priest . In the Lutheran faith I know most babies are baptised from about 3 months old to 6 months old usually. However baptism can take place about any time , even into adulthood if you've never been baptised before.

We're Roman Catholic. My son was baptized at 6 weeks of age, my daughter 5 weeks.

That depends on your faith. Catholics baptize their children as infants; later in life, the child confirms his/her own faith in other ways (first communion and confirmation). Many Protestants however have a "dedication" ceremony for the infant, as the parents commit to raising that child up in their faith, and waits until the child is old enough to understand and choose to be baptized.

My son will be baptized when he is six months old. It really is up to you. I've known people who've baptized their kids at six years old, so it's a really wide range.

As a non-dem Chiristian, I (we) believe that it is when the child understands and accepts Jesus as his savior. When ever that age comes about...but you can always dedicate your child to the lord whenever you want. So glad you are with the Lord!!!

Why don't you let him decide if he wants to get baptized?
