I have, on Real TV.
I thought the Sun was a ball of gas, but it sure looked like a pebble being dropped in a bucket of water with the rippling effect.
I also thought a meteor would burn up before hitting the Sun,
I was wrong again.
(Must have been a big meteor.)

Yes, I did see that.
Real TV went off the air in 2001.
Whatever that was called, comet/meteor/metorite, etc. (some people just want to get technical).
I remember that episode, it did look like the Sun is a bucket of liquid.

It must have been a gigantic meteor. A meteor the size of earth would be very hard to spot as it hit the sun. I would probably not believe that the video is real unless I saw it and saw where it came from.

Here is a link that has an image that shows the relative size of the earth, the sun, and jupiter.

If a meteor/metorite/comet hit the sun before burning up, i bet at least one of the terestrial planet will get hit by it. Maybe even earth will get hit by it. Because that will take a "hubigmugous" meteor/metorite/comet to hit a star before burning up.

I suspect what you saw was an animation. The only objects observed striking the sun have been comets, and they certainly didn't look like what you describe.
