I've recently seen a few independent films (Rabbit Proof Fence, Whale Rider, etc). I really enjoyed them and are looking for more. I like movies that are culturally aware, and it seems that independent films are more honest with cultural awareness. Any suggestions?

Of course I can't think of *anything* right now (and I always go on about how I love indy film), but call your cable company and see if you can get either Sundance or the Independent Film Channel. Both are great for what you're into!

The problem with indies is that you may not be in an area where they show up, so you miss out on a lot.

i just saw 12 and holding last night and it was an excellent movie, the acting was superb. def give it a try.

It opens a worldwide of possibilities and none of them resembling JC's the 'i would be returned' guy. different motives ought to be : obssession with movie (Scream, 1996) , obssession with sibling(Halloween, 1978), obsession with independant movie making (Blair Witch, 1999)... bloody hell... they have all been executed!! maximum genres have been raided whilst it includes motivating a killer, even drawing on actual existence serial killers (Bundy, Gein et al). Even Chris Bale claimed the titlular place of the 'American' psycho, (the Machinist became into stressful too) How 'bout a woman with a Batman fetish who can not tell the version between the character and the realities of putting human beings the different way up 210 ft interior the air and letting pass... lol save plugging friends... you will get there, in all probability earlier me you swines!! sturdy lick, cc x
