If you are that preacher's wife, then you have to decide what is appropriate for your religion. If the preacher/husband is telling the women in his congregation that it is a sin to wear a swimsuit, his wife would seem hypocritical if she wore one. I think there are a lot of swim suits that allow freedom of movement without being too revealing or vulgar. When you get out of the water, you could wear an attractive cover-up if you want to remain modest.

No, it is not a sin. You have to wear the acquired clothing when out on the beach or in a pool. How can you wear pants out on the beach? God won't think you're being disrespectful or sinning just because you are wearing a swim suit where you need to swim and be in the water.

No, Amy it is not a sin....I love the swim suit! You are covered up more then some other women at the beaches are. Who is making fun of the swimsuit? Because that is wrong! Remember what Big Jay 7 said it was the sunblock that was required. You did great! ps I need the sunblock or do you need me to bring some with me as well? Never mind we will send Big Jay 7 out for some while we relax and chat by the pool. Thanks!

No. Why would it be? Since when does being a preacher's wife, mean a woman can't like swimming? It would not be a sin at all.

No...Thats silly...You have as much of a right as any woman...Women wear swimsuits when they go swimming...There is no law that says preacher's wives cannot go swimming...That would be like saying its a sin for a preacher's wife to uh...take a shower/bath..Every normal person has no clothes on when they take a shower/bath...

No.........and, No. I'd be a bit careful of its design but wearing a bathing suit should not be considered wrong if the wearer is a Preacher's Wife.

I can't see that would be wrong for a preachers wife to do.. Besides, she'd look pretty darn silly diving into the water with a dress on! :)
I think where people might think there could be an "issue" is if she was wearing something that was basically string.. revealing all of her.. etc.. you know?

I see nothing wrong with a modest one piece swim suit. However, you are a reflection of your husband and your church& people will look to you as a role model. so of course you will keep it modest. Now if your husband has asked you not to wear a swim suit,I would talk things over with him and come to a safe alternative for swimming.

It depends on how it makes you feel when you do. If you feel it's wrong then that may be condemnation. It is a personal issue between you and God. I have been swimming with Preachers wives and they wore modest swimsuits.

No! of course not. But being that your a preachers wife, i would be modest. I wouldnt wear thongs, or anything that shows to much cleavage, just out of respect for your husband and your church.
