You can see a new window
in new window, go to " Startup " tab.
an unchecked unused program on stratup

These icons indicate programs that are starting up with Windows. To eliminate them and stop these programs from loading at startup go the the msconfig utility and turn them off. Click Start and then choose Run. In the run box type msconfig and click "Ok". In the System Configuration Utility, click the Startup tab. Now remove the check from those programs that you don't want to start with windows. Do not stop your security software from starting, IE, your Anti Virus and your Firewall, etc should be left on.

Right click on the start button, select properties, click the taskbar tab, customize, click on "always hide", for the icons that you do not want showing on your taskbar..click ok, then apply, then ok..good luck..
