I had bleeding in both my pregnancies:

#1 - I was 12 weeks. I had cramping that lasted for a couple of hours. The blood was red (like period blood), and heavy at first (enough that I had to wear a pad). Soon after, it became very light and became a brown colour. This lasted for about 5 days. There were no clots.

#2 - I was 8 weeks and 10 weeks. The blood was very light and a pink/peach colour. The spotting came and went during my 8th week and 10th week. It only lasted for a short time (an hour or so). I had no cramping and only had a few small clots.

Both times, the doctors checked me out and told me that everything looked good. I now have a 3-year-old son, and am expecting my second son (due June 22nd).

My doctor told me that a lot of women spot in early pregnancy.

Good luck!

Hello to you to.. with my daughter I started bleeding at 13 weeks. It was bright red and there was clots in it as well. Rushed to the hospital and was told I was having a miscarriage.. Not even a day later my new OB told me that it was a blood clot that was causing all the bleeding and that 5% of women get them.. As long as I didnt try to pass the whole clot at one time then I should be just fine. I was put on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy because I wouldnt stop bleeding. My daughter was born at 34 weeks she was healthy, active and able to come home with my huband and me.. She is now 14 months and baby #2 is on the way.. I am going on 19 weeks and so far no bleeding.. It has truelly been a different experience with both pregnancy's..

Hi-ya
I'm 7 weeks pregnant and i am spotting dark and sometimes light brown now and have been on and off for 1 week now. i have been for an early scan and they have told me i have a subchorionic hematoma, which is a small clot or hemorhage. The baby is fine and the hospital said that the clot should be reabsorbed (like a bruise) by the body over a number of weeks. i have been booked in for another scan in 2 weeks time just so they can monitor me. i'm trying not to worry about the whole thing, easier said than done i know! i'm having lots of bedrest which is the best thing if this is happening to you. hope this info has helped you; take care :-)

i bled a few times during my pregnancy... first time it was bright red blood and i was 14 weeks..i thought i was having another miscarriage, but it was from being intimate with my husband, and it had hurt the cervix and made it bleed, and result was a small hemmorrhage. it bled for about 3 days or so, and got darker and turned to about a brown then went away.
the other two times was from being intimate as well, but it was brown blood those times, and last about 3 days as well.. and i was about 18-20 weeks.
the first time, no it didnt really seem like a period, as it was alot watery, and not thick, and did not fill up a pad in an hour. no clots as well in any of the times... i only wore a panty liner each times..
hope ur ok and this helps!!

When I was pregnant with my second pregnancy, I bleed. It was a bright red. I got scared and went the the ER, they said everything was fine.My bleeding was a one time thing for about a week. It was a brighter red then a period, it looked like the blood that comes from a fresh cut.. I was 8 weeks at the time.

I bled with all 3 of my kids. With my first it was red spotting, with my second it was pink and mucusy, and my third was brownish and light. I bled heavy like a period with my first two for the first couple months. I know if its brownish that usually means infection, not with the baby or anything more like a bacterial infection of some kind. Be careful and keep your eye on it, if it gets too heavy call a doc. In the mean time dont lift anything over 25 pounds and get lots of rest. Lay on the couch and watch your shows or movies with your legs propped up on a pillow. Good luck!

Hi hun Ive been bleeding on and off with this pregnancy and some times its very frighting. Its just red spotting and some times it can be heavy and light. Ive been checked out and they cant find a reason why this is happening. I don't get any pains so Ive been told just to carry on as normal but if i do get pains and they get worse or if the blood its very heavy to go straight to A&E.

I had bright red bleeding in the first and 3rd trimester. I was so scared and thought I was having a miscarriage. I ended up having placenta previa, a conditon where the placents attaches too low and covers all or part of the cervix. Thank goodness it turned out okay and my daughter was born full term and healthy.

My hubby's mom told me that she never even knew she was pregnant. She bled for a whole 7 months into pregnancy. She wasn't fat or big, but just never showed. Her tummy didn't bulge out or anything. She said that one day she went to the doc because she felt a bit fluish and the doc said that she hasn't got the flu, but she is 7 months pregnant. But she still got her period like normal, every month when it was supposed to come. Anyway, now I have a wonderfull husband and so glad that he creaped up on his mama.
