yes, I can back this up, 2 days ago on t.v. it was annouced his show was being cancelled. I can not give you the exact words he said word for word but it was something like television is going all white again. Also, a few years ago on the Bill Moyer show he was going on so much about white people Bill Moyer cut him off and told him "Let's not make this about race".

I'm a white woman, and I disagree completely with anyone bashing someone else, whether in humour or in seriousness. It does seem that bashing white people is becoming commonplace, and it is bloody irritating. I do not go around labelling anyone based on externals, and I resent being labelled for any reason. If we're not "rednecks" we're "crackers" and if we're not that, we're "honkeys" (I blame George Jefferson). If we could get over all the labels, things would be fine. And there is no such thing as reverse racism--racism is racism--or certain words that are acceptable only when said by a member of a specific group. If the words are deemed to be wrong, they're wrong no matter who says them. I'm not advocating censorship or perpetuating political correctness--all I'm saying is that if it's okay for one person to say something, it's okay for everyone to say it. Or it should be.

No. George Lopez is not racist. He is just an awful standup comedian with zero talent. He isn't clever enough to come up with creative comedy bits, so he just talks about how Latinos are the best at everything. I listen to Comedy Central radio on Sirius all the time and every clip I have ever heard from him is about Latinos. I can't stand his comedy. He makes Dane Cook look like Richard Prior.

I don't think Lopez needs counseling. It is an industry double standard which has allowed people like Lopez and Chappelle make a ton of money.

I'm white and I don't take his statements offensively. He's a comedian. It's his job to make us laugh at ourselves and the things we do and think about.

Counseling? For a racist statement? Doesn't seem feasible.

well I think if he makes statements across the board that people see him in a different light since if you do of his actions has has made racist statements on other races as well in jest even his own.

Double-standards live and breathe in our society. It continues to try and please minorities at the cost of equality. Like anything, the quest for equality in our society does good as it does bad.

What racist statements has he made specifically about or against white people? Can you give us exact examples that you can back up with provable facts?

Because it's becoming trendy to hate white people.
