I Have dreams about me doing drugs with the same people I was using and abusing with what do they mean? I have been clean for 1 year!

they are called drug dreams and they are very normal. they can also be very scary. when i first got clean i would have dreams that i was trying to use and i would be afraid that it meant i was ready to realapse. it felt like the drugs were right there in my life again. the thing that you can do is that when you wake up tell yourself that it was just a dream. do not think about the dream-(there is no meaning to be found in it, and thinking about the drugs may trigger a craving), then think about why you are clean now, think about the bad things that caused you pain in your addiction and the good things that you have in your life because you are clean. you could even write a list to remind you why you do not want to go back to that life. i have almost 5 years clean and i still have drug dreams but they don't bother me any more. and the 1 year mark is a huge deal! congradulations!!!!

It is still in your subconcious mind. Congratulations on being clean for a year that's awesome. Don't let the dreams influence you. Maybe you haven't forgiven yourself yet for some of the things you did during that phase in your life.Remember once an addict, always an addict just not an active one so those thoughts may still come and go through your mind from time to time. Try reading something light or funny before you go to bed or listening to music while you sleep. It may help. Keep up the sobriety. You should be very proud of yourself.

Once an addict always an addict !! Good for you keep it up !! The cravings for the drugs never goes away and your subconscious is letting you know that !! I'm sure if you thought you could get away with it and nobody would find out you would go back to doing it !! It just hurts so many people you love and care about !!

sometimes i still feel like i can feel the drugs, and it just a flashback i think, it doesnt mean that i want to do it again, i think it is just your brain showing what you used to have and how horrible it was, it should make you really never want to do that again!

just dreams whatever u do stay clean you are doing great(i have been clean for 2 yrs)
