I do and not just the "Empire" album. I saw them once, but only after they stopped doing "Operation Mindcrime" live. They were awesome, their live skills are perfection.

As some people don't know, Mindcrime is a concept album much like Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and The Who's "Tommy". BTW, there's a sequel to Mindcrime.

If you have the opportunity to see them live, go for it, you will not regret it. Its such a pity that mainstream society only knows Silent Lucidity and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Another band that is constantly compared to Queesryche is Dream Theater. Try a listen. They're releasing their ninth album in June and have a downloadable single at Roadrunner Records.

Queensryche is still at the forfront of the progressive metal movement, along with the likes of Dream Theatre. I've listen to Ryche since the Rage For Order album. Operation Mindcrime and Mindcrime 2 are the best concept albums I've ever heard. Word is, Geoff Tate is in the works of making a feature film for the 2 albums story. Can't wait for that. I've seen them live several times, and it was alway a great show.

I still listen to Operation: Mindcrime on occasion. Haven't heard Mindcrime 2 yet, but I know they toured last year doing both albums in entirety.

Sometimes, they were a good group. I'm sorry that they will probably forever be know for "Silent Lucidity." It was a good song, but they had others. "Eyes Of A Stranger" for example.

Absolutely! Well, their old stuff anyway...if you ask me, things have gone rapidly downhill for them since Chris DeGarmo left the band. But, they're still one of my favorite bands and Rage For Order is my favorite album of theirs. I spin it regularly. :)
