How can I reduce an 8x10 document to an 8.5x5.5 document?

The programs I have are Adobe Acrobat 4.0. Reader 8.0 or Power Point and Microsoft Office. I have the 8.5x5.5 paper but can't seem to send it to the printer that size. I have already tried scanning it and changing the size from the printer but that didn't work. I need help!

It doesn't matter what program you used to create it. When you want to print it just click on the file tab next click print preview then click shrink to fit or page setup and reduce the margin sizes. You can also click on printer and go to printer preference then click the advance tab and change the setting to paper sizes.

Another way is to go to page setup in your files column just above print preview, and set your printable page to the size you want. This, though may print the document on two pages. Yet another way is to move your margins in till the document is printable on a 5.5 inch wide paper, then click edit, select all, to highlight the copy; right click it, click font and make the font smaller.

You did not say what program was used to create the document (is it a Word .doc, a picture ,jpg, a pdf, or what) That will determine how you would reduce the document.

We have to know more about the original before we can tell you how to change it....
