Last night I only got about 3 hours of sleep and just got done with a 13 hour shift. I'm sooo tired but I know that if I lay down to get some rest I won't be able to. Have you ever been in a situation when you're soo tired that you can't get to sleep? And how did you feel and what did you do to get sleep?
***Sorry, I ramble on without sleep!!***

Yes, and issues start floating around in you mind. Little things get amplified as you try to sleep. You see the hours rolling by. Next thing you know, the light of dawn starts poking through the window. Soon you realize you need to get up. And you ended up with little or no sleep, and you need to struggle through a full day of work. Not fun.

I've tried books, turning on boring TV programs, tossing and turning etc. Sleeping pills I haven't tried.

Sometimes nothing seems to work.

Yes! I have been that way many times. I know its hard to think that someone could be too tired to sleep but it happens. I would lie down and be to tired to move but could not fall a sleep. Its awful. Maybe try doing something relaxing, like listening to music before trying to sleep, drink a glass of warm chamomile tea or milk or maybe watch a calm movie or TV show. Its a bad feeling. I have had to get my Dr to prescribe Ambiem before as well.

Many times I am so over tired that I can't calm down to go to sleep. You feel like your head is in a cloud and feel horrible the next day.I usually try a warm shower and read a boring book till I finally fall asleep. Try to clear your mind of anything that causes stress.

Yes. A lot of times. I got fed up with a lot of things I can't even put my mind out of it to get a decent sleep. I drank some water. I barely drink anything else besides H2O so it really helped me. Refreshing though. Good luck. Take some rest

Yeah. Last night I had terrible cramps around both of my knees so bad that I woke up 3 times in the middle of the night. And the last time I woke up I was up for an hour waiting for the drugs to kick in before I could fall asleep.

Yes, I even tried watching tv, playing computer games and even reading. Did it help? NOOOOOO. I usually wind up taking a Benadryl or something that will put me to sleep. I am now sitting here wondering how many hours will I get tonight. They usually range from 2-5. Hopefully we both can get some Zzzs.

Wish I had known as I have the same problem. We could have talked and then
listen to each other snore--oh sorry-hopefully we would be asleep at last!! I know
how you feel I have suffered from this for months now. It's no fun. Take care. x

Just try not to think about sleep. Sit down with a book and start reading. You will fall asleep in time and when you wake up you find your self hungry.

I hate when that happens, it feels horrible. I take Tylenol pm, and play solitaire on my computer until I can't see straight and then go to sleep. Sweet Dreams.
