I find this grossly unfair to us non-celebrities - this would never have happened to us!! What do you think??

I think society is going down the drain when we give special treatment to someone just because they are famous.

OJ is guilty, Michael is a pedophile, and Paris needs to just go away!

I dont recognize what the international's obsession is with Paris Hilton, Britney spears, and Lindsey Lohan. they're all so performed out and there are better perfect issues to hearken to about than them on an known foundation

I know its unfair isn't it and why does she have to her jail term halved and is being kept from the other inmates its because she was being good but i think that shouldn't change the jail sentence its sad.

The whole slashing of the sentence thing is probably BS, but I don't know how often California slashes sentences for people for good behavior. Maybe it's all par for course.

It's fair to keep her separated from the general populace. Because of her celebrity status, she would be in greater than average danger if mixed in with the others.

She was never going to do the full term anyway. I think its ridiculous, she should have been given community service like perhaps helping the firemen clear up after a drink drive accident, she may have learnt more of a lesson.

Or let her take questions from families who have suffered in the hands of a drink driver...prison was never going to be hard for her, other options would have been better.

I mean c'mon!!! that rich b***h deserves jail terms and treatment just like the rest of the inmates. its another typical money is power situation and it annoys me so much. the stupid woman commited a crime, but just because she has the money and is a "celebrity" does it mean she has more rights than us and does it mean she deserves to be treated different wrong in the justice system? HELL NO.

NO! IT WOULDNT HAPPEN TO ME, see, money dont let you have everything. I got brains and i would never find myself in that situation. Never. But yeah your right about the jail term and it being reduced, only people with MONEY get that kinda treatment, not just cause she is famous, if you got money, you get same treatment.

I think its good they are protecting her. After all she has had threats. It will also stop her making money from the diarys she is suppost to be writting with all the dirt. Hopefully here will be no dirt and we get the last laught

I don't think it's fair either - her status shouldn't earn her any more rights. The fact that her defense was 'she doesn't read her own mail so she wasn't informed' was ridiculous in the first place!
