I thought it was 45? I'll be glad if she serves time at all!

She makes me laugh....wouldn't life be dull without her. How can we punish her if she brings laughter into our lives. Isn't laughter good medicine? I think she has been humiliated and humbled...well see what 23 days will do for her. People say if she wasn't a star, she would be treated differently...that's true. If you and I were a star we would be treated differently as well....I'm not saying it's right....just the way the world works. If Brad Pitt was going to jail for 23 days I could see every single woman on the face of the planet, offering to let him serve his time at her house.

We may not think we would act that way...but with all that $$$, I think many would have that "I can do anything I want attitude". We have too many examples of it these days ($$ and power corrupt minds) even from those who profess to be Christians. If I had that kind of money ..I don't know if I could honestly say I would have the self-control to not do whatever the heck I wanted too. So I can't be bitter against her, nor can I condone her actions...but I must say she is a character and makes me laugh. I don't know many kids who have been brought up in wealthy famillies who aren't screwed up. From that perspective, I wouldn't want to have been brought up a rich kid...and I feel sorry for her. It's better to have to struggle for things to appreciate them......rather than the silver platter route.

God bless U,

Daniel

No but at least she's living up to SOME of her responsibility.. Even if that means 23 days, jail time. It just means that she cant "buy" her way out of this situation completley.

Plus it will probably give her better publicity w/that!!! Her publicity team needs a bonus for that!!

...... Great just what the world needs...More Paris, more papparrazi!!

Not at all.

She should have to do her full sentence-- the same sentence anyone would have to do if they were convicted of drunk driving, driving on a suspended license, and driving recklessly.

They gave her an abbreviated sentence of 45 days as it was, but now because she's "famous" she's getting off with less. I don't think she'll end up even doing the 23. It's all turning out to be a bad publicity stunt. This culture is so screwed up.

Because the prisons and jails are so overcrowded, offenders guilty of similar crimes to her's are routinely getting out with these sorts of chopped down sentences, to make room for more serious offenders. It might not be fair per se, but she is not getting any special treatment compared to other people that have been convicted of a similar crime.

Trust me Paris Hilton is not going to jail. Yes, she should get a longer jail term, but I seriously doubt if she spends one day behind bars.

They could move her to another jail in another place to finish it out and charge her transportation fees. I am sure someone that has been waiting a long time would love to exchange freedom for a room for her. She really needs to be treated like the other law breakers and if they get our early then I guess she can too.

Nope, She should be made to serve the whole of her 45 day sentence, If it had been a normal every day person like we are we would have had to do the whole 45days but cos she is who she is it has been cut...It is so unfair...
