Yes there is a point in keeping old cards you can cut them up and use them as gift tags and make new cards out of them or even simply copy the words off of your favorite cards on your next cards to someone, you can decorate things with them even put them in clear acrylic frames and use them as pictures, they make lovely pictures, I have saved some Christmas cards and made some gift tags and even used them as post cards, Birthday cards to a certain someone special like a spouse or boyfriend I have always kept to look back on from time to time but that is the only ones I keep forever is the birthday cards or Christmas cards to my spouse, I have put them in a photo album for safe keeping. Good Luck !

I keep the birthday ones for my kids when they are little... I like to look back through them from time to time... I also keep some of my Christmas cards, if they have a personal note or if they are from someone really important in my life. The real point of keeping them is for sentimentality. If you aren't sentimental, get rid of them and lead a nice clutter-free life! Your tidy house will thank you!

I only keep the ones that have sentimental value to them, but most of them I throw away. I like to do scrapbooking, so if a card has a cool picture or design on it, I will save it for that.
I do keep keep the Christmas cards that I get from my friends that have pictures of their kids on them. I think those are cute!

I don't ever keep birthday cards. The usual suspects send them to me each year. As for Christmas cards, I will keep those for a year so when I'm doing my cards the following year, I don't forget someone who sent one.

I keep my kids b-day cards and have started each of them their own scrapbook (pictures through the years, cards, etc.). I also keep Christmas cards that have beautiful pictures on them and glued them to colored card stock (to keep them firm and give them a border), and cut the edges with the creative border scissors and punched holes at the top and strung ribbon through them. They look great hanging on my Christmas tree, and when they get aged they look even better! Very rustic-country if you like that thing.

Their is no point in keeping the it self. But you can
use them by cutting out the images and using them
Christmas ornaments, or as tags to put on a present,
it's cheaper then buying them.
