Sure, you could do it. Millions of single parents work and live in the U.S., including immigrants.

The Immigration process can be a bit overwhelming, and can take a long while. Whether or not you would qualify for a one year working holiday, I don;t know ... that might be hard with a child, but you would have to more research on that one.

Here is the U.S. Immigration website. Read through it and if you are still interested, then start putting things into motion to do it! Best of luck to you.

Do you mean like a counselor at a summer camp? If you have a child you probably coudn't do a sleep away camp. But day camps are fun too. I used to work as a summer counselor when I was a teen. A lot of teenagers and college students do this in there summer break, but you may be able to get a job as a head counselor if you have a lot of experience with children. Check out www.idealist.org. They have tons of job listings and usually have a lot of summer camp jobs. Good luck.

It IS impossible to work at a camp with a baby. Most of the camp work is volunteer. I have worked for camps before and volunteer at national parks. It's fun work but I would not reccommend it to a foriegner with a child.

a camp volunteer does not make enough to support a child. Where is your husband? Is he coming too? If you'renot married, are you getting child support? Dont come over here and expect to get on public aid for you and your child. We have enough deadbeats the way it is.
