I have seen alot of these ?'s on y/a so why do people beleive in god? I use to go to church but now I am old enough to make my own descisions and there are to many riddles. Do u beleive because we had to get here somehow or beleive because someone wrote the bible?
I just have a hard time beleiving somethingI can not see and besides that why are there so many religions if there is 1 god?
If our president wrote the bible would you beleive he was god? just curious.
i am not downing what u beleive but i want to know why

No I would not think the President was God if he wrote the bible.
I was watching my cat one day going nuts because of a squirrel out the window. The predator nature is in all of us too. Think about nature and life and how can you think it was all just an accident? A big bang happened and life and the beauty of nature just happened? I think not. Our souls, our minds are intelligent, there has to be a higher intelligence. There is wrongs and rights in the world, there is God and the Devil. It's all a higher intelligence. We are the higher intelligence over animals, what makes us think there isn't one above us?
Anyways, also look at it this way, if there is a chance that there's a heaven and a hell. Why wouldn't you at least believe for the reason you don't want to burn in hell for eternity, if there's even the slighest chance, I would still want to take the safe way.
ps. the part about the predator nature might of only linked and made sense to me, hope you get what I meant though.

Yes I believe in God.
I made a decision as an adult to believe in God. Not because someone said so but because that's what felt right to me. Believing something you can't see is called faith. It's because if my faith in the Lord that I believe. I believe that if it wasn't for His grace and His mercy I would not be here today. I think that there are different religions because God can't force you to believe in Him. That is something that you have to do for yourself. I would never believe that our president is God because there is only one God. I believe that man didn't write the bible.....God spoke to people through the Holy Spirit and that is how the bible was written. And I'm glad you asked the question because people think it and never ask. Whatever you decide to do, do it for you and because that's what you believe.

You got to have faith,you can't see God but if you believe in him he will never fail you, and If the president wrote the Bible no i would not believe in him because he is a man and man will fail you in all ways, but believe in God and know that he is their for you even if you can't see him, every one has to know that's there a higher power than man.There are so many difference religious because people believe in things happen in a different way than others, not that they don't believe in the same God. Believe that he died on the cross for our sins, and rose again to save the world.

Even if it may not show all the time, deep down I believe in God. I was raised in a strict catholic family and i attended catholic school. Ever since 2nd grade I can remember rebelling and thinking how dumb it all was. But it's hard to not think that there is something out there higher than you are. It's faith, thats what catholicism is based on. I think that everyone worships the same person, but they all refer to him as a different person.

First, go back to basics.
The word "Belief" stems from the egoic belief you are separate from God.
God can be experienced directly. See Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know I am God." This refers to deep meditation with the injunction Christ taught you: "Love God with all your heart, mind and soul." [Naphsha in the Aramaic].
Practice. Like all good things, it takes practice.

I believe because how else would we be here, somebody had to create human life and animals. This is such a deep topic I really can't begin to go into details about it I could be all day hell I could write a book

We are just human and we need something to belive in... =)
When everythings wrong, we need something to belive that it all be better...
And the thing named "god" is a great faith..
because he's powerfull than anyone else and he's great
and he's going to punish the bad ones...
we need to belive these things

I do believe in God. I believe he is there guiding us as long as we listen to him. I believe if we all would believe in God we all would be so much better.
We all have the free-will to do things on our own but we need to believe there is a high-power, even if we don't see God, he is there.

Why do people believe in love? They can't see it, so what proof is there of it's existence? Well, you can feel it. I can't speak for anyone else but that's why I believe in God.
