How much money would you spend rescuing them? and how many other lives would you risk?

I don't believe that leaving them to die is a good idea. It is barbaric and also there will be people who will want to save them. Family members for instance. Those people may try to do a rescue and also get stuck. This could easily turn into a big death trap.

However, I think that the people who are rescued should be required to have insurance that pays for the rescue before they climb. If caught doing climbs without the insurance they would be stuck with big fines and maybe prison time. Take the financial burden of rescue off of the government and put it on the climber.

Not sure...does it happen often? Perhaps they should be fined.

I grew up in AZ, which experiences flash floods. A lot of the roads can flood very quickly, and people are warned not to attempt crossing them. Sure enough there is always a few that think they're invincible; they get stuck in a very dangerous situation. There is now a law they will be fined if they require rescue. I totally agree.

Yes they should be rescued, some people don't recognize their limits until they reach them and they need a little help to fall back down again.

Someone has to rescue them. The media will show them over and over again just how stupid they looked up there doing that for nothing!!!
