Use deck cleaner and pressure wash them.

Mix up a gallon of hot water and 1/4 cup of any good-quality household cleaner, or 1 gallon of hot water, 1 tablespoon of dish-washing liquid and 1/4 cup Borax. Wipe the chair down with one of these solution and rinse well. Be sure to rinse plants and grass down if any get on them, too.

word has it just soap and water.. if they have a good amount of stain sealant etc.. I might use some Murphys/Generic version Oil soap
*if you still need to stain/varnish/seal them get a good kind, put it on thick.. it wears off after a few yrs and you cannot use another type over it..
*Thompson wood sealer is great, can use again over the yrs too
