Hello

A trapezoid has the area formula of
Area = .5h(base1+base2)

We use our knowledge of a 30-60-90 triangle to find the height to be x*root3 and the length is 4.

Thus the top base = 6, bottom base = 10, height = 4 root3. This is option D.

Have a great day

So we have Area = .5(4root3)(16) = 32root3.

The 30 60 90 triangle with hypotenuse of 8 must have sides of length 4 for the base and 4sqrt3 for the height. This type of triangle has sides and hypotenuse in the ratio of 1:sqrt3:2.

Area of trapezoid is (average of the bases) times the height.
(10+6)/2*4sqrt3 = 32 sqrt3

Answer must be D.

figure out the height
sin60= h/8
h=8sin60= 8sqrt3/ 2
find small length next to 60degree
use pathagorean 64= 48+x^2
x=4
the small base on the top 10-4= 6ft
A= 1/2 *8sqrt(3)/2( 6+10)
A=2sqrt(3)16
A=32sqrt(3) ft^2 so
answer is D

h = 8sin60 = 4sqrt(3)
a=10
b=10-8cos60=10=4=6

Area = (1/2)(10+6)*4sqrt(3)
=32sqrt(3)

D
