It depends. First, if I can avoid them, I do. They can't bug me if I don't see/hear/know about whatever it is they do the irks me, right? If there is no way to avoid them (like work or traffic) I make up little games where I smile at them and then I imagine all sorts of evil fates for them such as traffic idiots get blasted off the road and ignorant coworkers are made to stand in the corner just to name a couple.

i try to avoid being around them when i know that they are going to do things that will annoy me, example on work i will simply stay in my office - if i cant see them they wont annoy me. and when i do have to interact with them, i keep it short and sweet. i will still talk to them, and smile, laugh etc.
However, when im at home - i just dont see...period. My 13 y/o cousin annoys the heck out of me, everyday, all the time. For a teenager he as some very annoying habits that no matter what you do or say, he don't listen to you. No matter how much you correct him.
You tell him - When you have breakfast before you go to school, wash your cup...every morning the cup is in the sink.
When you leave your bed, fold your cover - every morning the cover is roled in a ball and thrown in a corner.
When you undress to take a bath dont leave your clothes on the ground - his clothes is always in the doorway in front of the bathroom.
His school books are tattered and messy.
He lies - plenty plenty plenty.
He walks out of his room and dressed in the corridor - that is he puts on his underwear and boxers in the corridor, so if you happen to be walking by you see a naked 13 y/o. And has the audacity to tell me about stop watching him. Wtf is up with that?
Imma stop now.
