I let people walk all over me. I just don't seem to have it in me to stick up for myself and if i do then i just spend all my time feeling guilty that i have hurt their feelings and will be extra nice to them the next time i see or speak to them.

Pathetic i know!

I stick up for myself! I won't take any sh!t from strangers, or from those close to me, and I certainly never took any sh!t from my employers either. If I feel that someone is taking the p!ss then I won't stand for it. People only end up unhappy when they're walked over and they lose their self worth. I think it's better to have a few very good friends than lots of cr@p ones. There are too many selfish people in this world who only think about themselves. I'm someone who always puts other people first so if they take advantage of that then I'll definitely say my piece. No-one should be walked over, and more to the point, no-one should want to walk over anyone else.

Hey Pups gr8 question again , well i have to say that after working in a customer/public environment for quite some years , i have developed some what of a thick skin when it comes to people trying to take the pi*ss,( its mostly water off a ducks back), I'm really a quite kinda guy , the strong silent type, a big softy you might say, but being 6ft 4" tall i have the advantage of an imposing physical presence , but i try and use my limited intelligence and wit to my advantage( and some times you just have to bite your lip) , but when someone really over steps the mark I'm not afraid to let them know( I'm the kindov guy that doesn't get angry very often , but when i start to shake watch out lol) , this is very rare, I've found that if your straight with people you get their respect and they tend not to try things on , xxxx

i try to stick up for myself as much as i can, but my philosophy on it is that if it is not very big then there is no real need to be so firm on certain things. like if is about what to eat for tea, normally i will let the other person decide as it is not a major decision that'll change anything. but if it is something big that'll affect my life than i will be more forward and stick up for myself.

I stick up for myself, sometimes to a fault. I need to learn to not be so defensive at times.

I have people who know how to walk all over me...and then there are others who haven't got a chance. If you don't know me at all, there is no way in hell.

I used to let them walk but learnt to protect myself more by calmly telling them where to get off
